The Housewives - Cream

Five piece The Housewives who met and formed in Nottingham (well sort of). I loved the fact that Nick claims to be bass, vocals and toy instruments, doesn’t take much to make me smile some days. Shame the music didn’t do the same, unfortunately the first track Cream was for me a little too long and vocals eventually started to grate a little, also found it all a bit over repetitive.

Next track Charming starts out a little better, jingle jangle guitars, vocals seemed less grating with Lizzy providing the backing vocals on this track. Last track Ballad has great lyrics, the vocals seem to combine better, haunting in parts, this stands out as being different enough to cause interest.
While overall this isn’t my cup of tea, I like it perhaps because it has a basic simplicity which appeals on a wet Tuesday evening.
