Transgressive Records - Hot Summer Tour E.P.

While I didn’t get to the recent Transgressive Records gig in Leeds, we were represented at the gig by Smartie who seemed to enjoy the eclectic mix of artists on display overall.

This EP was linked to the tour and featured all six artists who performed at the various dates, again not every track is likely to be to everyone’s taste but at six tracks it’s a good value for money EP. The picks for me are Esser with I Love You, a quirky little pop song and the live recording of So So Modern (pictured)he New Internationale. Absentee also deliver a good track with the bluesy That Old Ghost.

The rest of the EP is made up of Liam Finn, Jeremy Warmsley and the odd Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man.
