Laura Warwick - No More
In the world of music anything can happen… Here we have an artist that is obviously very talented and literally making the public pay towards her success. Laura Warwick releases her new single No More with a helping hand. This is what they call – The Public Record label. Basically you (the public) pay 5 pounds a share. The more shares you buy the more of the project you own. The money will go towards recording, touring, photo shoots… Are they having a laugh??? Clever idea, different…I’ll pass i think!
The single surprisingly is very good though. Laura obviously has a wide knowledge in various styles of music, this is heard throughout the track. With its soulful funk style it is apparent that Laura is doing her own thing and certainly not trying to sound like anyone other than herself. With her distinctive soulful edgy voice she undoubtedly has a lot of talent. This track is steady flowing and easy on the ears.
Only one down fall for me and that would be that though her voice is distinctive, it is still very young and untrained. With a little more time I think Laura could easily fit into that never ending list of unforgettable divas. Though for now…there’s a long way to go.
