Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir - Ten Thousand

Seasick Steve has called the Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir his favourite band and while he’s such a lovely guy you get the feeling he says that about a lot of bands he comes across and plays with over time, you actually believe these could be.

They share a lot of the same dynamics musically, there is a rough (yet measured) and raw edge to the blues that they peeddle on Ten Thousand, their third long player to date. Vocally they change from a deep growl to a more hollered approach from track to track and the end result is a brilliantly simple, yet amazingly tecdhnical album all rolled into one.

Time to get hold of those first two albums methinks.
