The Music - The Spike

The Music have bounced back in fine style with their third album Strength In Numbers, playing sold out shows and charting with their single and album, after the relative disappointment and turbulence of the second album and the ensuing four years.

The Spike was one of my favourite tracks when I saw them live earlier this year, it’s transferred well from the live arena onto the album and is a fine choice of single for the band (although you do still need to release Drugs and Fire lads).

With fantastioc production provided by Flood and Phil Hartnoll it has a dance undertone to the track, one that should lend itself well to potential remixes.
