What's all this then?
The Beat Surrender started out as an advert for our monthly club nights at the local university. Gradually setlists were added, then we started commenting on these tracks, they turned into reviews and before we knew it the first incarnation of what we slowly started to call a "music magazine" was born.
We now have a growing community and a contributor list from all over the world including the US, Canada, Germany and Austrailia.
Without a doubt we're paying homage to alot of other, more established, music websites out there. We love the sheer output of Pitchfork Media, the community behind the BBC's Collective, the intimacy of The Milk Factory, and the personality of Speakers Push The Air, among others. We salute you.
Publishing Schedule
A new issue is published every Friday, including reviews, interviews and features. Sign up to the mailing list or rss feeds to get notified straight away of fresh content.
On top of this we have the daily bits, the Recordbox, Downloads, and news.
