Lounge On The Farm Festival

Lounge on the Farm Festival takes place on the Merton Farm just outside of Canterbury. The five thousand capacity festival, now in its forth year, features six stages with over one-hundred and sixty bands playing over the 10th, 11th, and 12th of July.

The 2008 festival gained national recognition including: Top 10 Boutique Festivals (Times travel), Top 20 Festivals You’ve Never Heard Of (Observer travel), Best Family Festivals (Guardian weekend), Top 50 Things To Do This Summer (Times style).

They also picked up a Greener Festival Award due to the high degree of commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly working practices.

Some of the acts that have played the festival in recent years include The New York Dolls, Super Furry Animals, The Coral and Mystery Jets, this years line upthough looks set to surpass previous years with the following acts performing on the respective days of the festival:

Friday 10th July

The Horrors, Wild Beasts, The Invisible, Cocos Lovers, Hobo Jones & the Junkyard Dogs, Jonquil, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Savlon, Steve Hillage Band, Gong, Greco Roman Soundsystem, Drums Of Death, Toddla T and MC Serocee, Zomby, The Spivs, Cha Cha, 7 Day Conspiracy, Los Salvadores, It Hugs Back, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Casiokids, The King Blues.

Saturday 11th July

Roots Manuva, Dub Pistols, The Aliens, Golden Silvers, Billy Childish, The Further Tent, Boxing Octopus, Mr Lovebucket, Moon Music Orchestra, Morviscous, Wolf People, Syd Arthur, Portico Quartet, Jay Jay Pistolet, 6 Day Riot, Josh Weller, Sargasso Trio, Wild Wolves, Cherbourg, Wheeler Street, Krafty Kuts, DJ Format, DJ Food & DK, J*Star & MC Honey Brown, S.C.U.M., Ipso Facto, Baddies, Joe Gideon And The Shark, Flamboyant Bella, Jeremy Warmsley, Wave Pictures, The Temper Trap, Onlookers, The Pan I Am

Sunday 12th July

Edwyn Collins, Bent, Chris T-T, Trevor Moss and Hannah Lou, Trost, Congregation, Peggy Sue, Kid Harpoon, Pete Molinari, Son of Dave, Samondi, Zoo For You, James Taylor Quartet, Nostalgia 77 presents The Skeleton, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, The XX, Comfyporn DJs, Mr Scruff, Tom Williams and The Boat, Ukulele Gangstas, Hotrods & Dragsters, The Mind Without Maths, Monday Street, The Soundcasters, The Lovedays, Yearner Babies, Tom Allalone And The 78s, Black Market Karma, Krissy And The Jackdaws, Underground Heroes.

As well as music to savour the festival will also feature some of Kent’s best culinary delights with the best farmers, growers, and micro brewers showcasing their fantastic produce.

Family Tickets

Family tickets are available at a discounted rate because we want to encourage families to attend the festival.
Family tickets cover 2 x Adults and 2 x Children aged 6-15.
They also include any Children aged 5 and under as these children do not require a paid for ticket.
Family tickets do not cover 4 friends where 2 x people qualify as an Adult and 2 x people qualify as a Child. This is a breach of the rules and regulations and you will not be allowed admittance to the festival site.

Weekend Tickets

Weekend tickets enable entrance to the festival site from Friday to Monday.
You can arrive on any day of the festival.
Camping IS included in the price of a weekend ticket.
Parking ISN’T included in the price of a weekend ticket and must be paid for in advance separately.

Day Tickets

Day tickets are available for each of the three days of the festival.
Day ticket holders CANNOT camp at the festival site due to limited camping space.
You can enter the festival site from whenever the gates open on that day and must leave the site when the site closes that day.
